IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri targeted as Iran war continues.

Israeli media, citing official sources, reported on Thursday that Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Navy, was killed in a targeted strike in Bandar Abbas.

Tangsiri is widely regarded as the mastermind behind the recent closure of the Strait of Hormuz. While several international news outlets have picked up the report, there has been no official confirmation from Tehran or the Israeli military regarding his death.

In a simultaneous development, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran is currently engaged in back-channel negotiations with his administration but is afraid to acknowledge it publicly due to fear of internal and external retaliation. Dismissing claims that the U.S. is struggling in the conflict, Trump asserted, “We are decimating them. They’ve got no navy. They’ve got no anything.” This was bolstered by a report from CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, who confirmed that the U.S. has struck over 10,000 military targets in Iran since launching its campaign last month.
