KASARGOD (KERALA): The Kerala Police have launched a comprehensive investigation after Congress MLA Sandeep Varier allegedly received a death threat over the phone.
According to the official complaint filed by the MLA, an unidentified caller threatened to shoot him dead.

The police stated that preliminary investigations suggest that the threat may have originated from a person residing within the state.
Initial findings by the cyber cell and investigators also indicate that the physical call was made from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
The investigators have collected the specific details of the phone number as well as the call data records (CDR) and are thoroughly examining them as part of the ongoing probe.
