Pathanamthitta: The vehicle in which Aranmula MLA Abin Varkey was traveling met with an accident on Wednesday. The incident took place at Shutter Mookku in Omalloor, Pathanamthitta.
The MLA and others in the vehicle sustained injuries in the crash. However, as per preliminary information, none of the injuries are of a serious nature.
Eyewitnesses stated that another car rammed into the vehicle carrying the MLA while he was returning to his residence after participating in flood relief operations.
The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. Police have initiated an investigation into the accident, which occurred while the MLA was heading home post flood relief activities.
