Kochi: Filming for the upcoming full-length comedy thriller starring Saiju Kurup as a private detective officially commenced on Monday, September 7. Directed and scripted by Sagar, the movie is produced by filmmaker Arun Gopy under the banner of Arun Gopy Excitement. This marks the second production venture for the banner, with their debut project ‘Mel Cow Pondicherry’ currently in its final stages of post-production.
The ceremonial switch-on and puja took place at the Anjumana Devi Temple in Edappally, Kochi. Khalid Nalakath, along with the cast and crew, lit the ceremonial lamp. Renowned producer Antony Perumbavoor performed the switch-on ceremony, while Nitesh Nair gave the first clap, marking the launch of the shoot.
The plot revolves around Private Detective Chandikunju, played by Saiju Kurup, as he takes on a unique investigation case filled with comedic twists. Dhyan Sreenivasan also plays a key role alongside the lead.
The cast includes Sai Kumar, Altaf Salim, Harisree Ashokan, Sudheesh, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Madhupal, composer Shaan Rahman, Jayakrishnan, Rajesh Sharma, Shaju Sreedhar, Akhil (Pan Indian), Shameer Khan, Riya Jithu, Vincy Aloshious, Alphy Panjikaran, Uttara Unni, and Sreerekha.
Technical credits feature Sanal Dev for music, Saneesh Stanley for cinematography, and Ratheesh Raj for editing. Other crew members include Jemon (Art Direction), Swethin (Makeup), Arun Manohar (Costumes), Arunlal (Chief Associate Director), Ramdas Mathur (Stills), Vivek (Production Manager), Vinod Venugopal (Production Executive), and Shahab Vennala (Production Controller).
