Idukki: Filming for the upcoming feature directed by Shaheed Arafath has officially commenced in Pannyarkutty, Idukki. Jointly produced by Navarasa Films and Stone Bench Studios following their successful project ‘Prakampanam’, the movie is bankrolled by Sreejith K.S. and Karthekeyan S. The co-producers for the project are Dhilor, Rijosh, Monsy, and Blessy, with Abhijith Suresh serving as the executive producer.
The ceremonial launch took place with a traditional puja service attended by director Shaheed Arafath, producers Sreejith K.S. and Karthekeyan S., alongside lead actors Dileesh Pothan, Alphonse Puthren, and Samvrutha Sunil. Dileesh Pothan performed the switch-on ceremony, while Alphonse Puthren gave the first clap. Tentatively titled ‘Navarasa Production 3’, the film marks the return of popular actress Samvrutha Sunil to the screen after a sabbatical.
Following his notable work in ‘Thankam’, Shaheed Arafath helm this project with a screenplay written by Thankam, who previously penned hits like ‘Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha’ and ‘Adios Amigos’.
Set against the scenic backdrop of high-range Idukki, the cinematography is handled by Sunil K.S., marking his return to Malayalam cinema after the acclaimed project ‘Aadujeevitham’. In another interesting feature, filmmaker Johnpaul George, known for directing ‘Guppy’, ‘Ambili’, and ‘Aashan’, is composing the music for the film. Alongside Dileesh Pothan, Alphonse Puthren, and Samvrutha Sunil in pivotal roles, the cast includes Jibin Gopinath, Abhijith Suresh, Aswathy Manoharan, Riyaz Khan, Sruthi Jayan, and Bisal Prasanna.
