Nashik TCS ‘Conversion’ Accused Nida Khan Claims Pregnancy; Seeks Anticipatory Bail from Court.

MUMBAI/NASHIK: Nida Khan, a key accused in the forced religious conversion and harassment case at the Nashik unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has approached a local court for anticipatory bail. Currently on the run, Khan’s family claims she is in Mumbai and expecting her first child. This medical condition is expected to be a primary ground in her application for relief from arrest.

While the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its efforts to track her down, authorities are preparing to verify her pregnancy claims through official medical channels. Khan, 25, had been working with the TCS BPO unit in Nashik since 2021. Her involvement came to light following a series of shocking allegations by several employees regarding the work environment at the facility.

The SIT is currently investigating nine complaints involving sexual assault and forced religious conversion filed by eight women employees. The victims alleged that between February 2022 and March 2026, senior colleagues subjected them to mental and sexual harassment, while the HR department consistently ignored their grievances. In one instance, a male employee was allegedly forced to perform Namaz and his religious beliefs were insulted.

Seven employees, including Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar, have already been arrested and suspended from the company. Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran has termed the allegations “gravely concerning” and initiated a high-level internal probe led by TCS COO Arathi Subramanian. The company has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and is extending full cooperation to the ongoing police investigation.
