National Handball Player and Physical Education Teacher Killed in High-Speed Car Crash in kerala-Kollam.

KOLLAM: A national-level handball player and popular physical education teacher was killed after a speeding car rammed into his motorcycle in Kollam city. The deceased, V. Ajith Kumar (50), a resident of Vijay Bhavan at JNR Nagar, was a teacher at the Government SNDP UP School in Pattathanam. The accident occurred at 10:15 PM on Thursday along the Chinnakada-Asramam Residency Road.

According to reports, a car travelling at a high speed from the Asramam side towards Kollam town lost control and collided head-on with Ajith’s bike, which was coming from the opposite direction. The collision took place near the entrance to the Pullikkada colony. The impact was so severe that Ajith was thrown off his bike and landed on a lower side road, leading to his instantaneous death at the scene.

Eyewitnesses stated that there were four individuals in the car at the time of the accident, two of whom managed to flee the spot immediately. The road was covered in blood following the crash. The Kollam East Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to track down the occupants of the car. Ajith Kumar’s body has been shifted to the District Hospital mortuary for further procedures.
