NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with other prominent leaders, extended warm greetings to citizens on the auspicious occasions of Onam and Milad-un-Nabi, wishing the nation peace, prosperity, and togetherness.
In a post on X, PM Modi wished everyone a vibrant Onam, highlighting how the festival is celebrated with immense enthusiasm globally and hoping it further empowers the spirit of happiness, togetherness, and prosperity. Extending his Eid Mubarak and Milad-un-Nabi greetings in a separate message, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the occasion furthers joy and that the spirit of kindness guides society.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah greeted the people of Kerala, wishing them a year filled with peace, health, and well-being. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described Onam as a celebration of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage that fosters unity and reflects gratitude toward Mother Nature, while also wishing peace and compassion on Milad-un-Nabi.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, also conveyed their festive wishes. On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu had extended her greetings, noting that Onam celebrates Kerala’s culture while promoting the core ideal of “unity in diversity”.
