On Tuesday, Civil Supplies Minister G R Anil, a senior leader from the CPI party, stated that the disagreement within Kerala’s ruling LDF (Left Democratic Front) over signing the central government’s PM SHRI school scheme will not impact the state’s governance.
He stressed that both the CPI and the CPI(M), the main partners in the LDF coalition, are committed to upholding Left policy.
When reporters questioned him about the ongoing rift between the two Left parties—which arose because the state’s General Education Department recently signed the PM SHRI agreement without Cabinet discussion—Minister Anil maintained that the Left policy would ultimately succeed.
