TEL AVIV: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) chief, Eyal Zamir, has announced that the military is shifting to a full-scale offensive in Lebanon, warning that the country must prepare for “many prolonged days of combat ahead.”

The statement, shared via Telegram, emphasized the need for sustained offensive readiness and continuous strikes against Hezbollah targets. This escalation follows a wave of Israeli airstrikes launched this morning in response to Hezbollah’s rocket fire, which was reportedly a retaliation for the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader.
