Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has released a fresh video on X (formerly Twitter) after AI tools and social media users questioned the authenticity of his previous clips. The controversy began when Elon Musk’s AI, Grok, flagged a video as “AI-generated,” and users pointed out what appeared to be six fingers on his hand in a press conference clip.
To prove his presence and safety amid the ongoing conflict with Iran, Netanyahu shared footage of himself interacting with civilians and a national breed “Canaan” dog in Jerusalem. In the video, Netanyahu encourages citizens to stay safe and expresses confidence in the IDF’s victory.
This follows a lighter clip from Sunday where he was seen ordering coffee and jokingly addressing rumors of his death by saying he was “dying for coffee.” During that encounter, he pointedly showed both hands to the camera, inviting viewers to count his fingers to debunk the AI-manipulation claims.
These public appearances come as the regional war enters its 17th day, following major strikes that escalated tensions between Israel, the US, and Iran. (NDTV)
