Relatives of Slain Iranian General Qasem Soleimani Arrested in US; Residency Permits Revoked.

The US State Department has announced the arrest of two family members of the deceased Iranian General Qasem Soleimani after their lawful permanent resident status was rescinded. Federal agents took Soleimani’s niece, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, and her daughter into custody following an order from Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to officials, Afshar has been an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime and has publicly condemned the United States. Both are currently in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Additionally, the Trump administration has terminated the legal status of the daughter and son-in-law of Ali Larijani, another top Iranian official killed recently.

Secretary Rubio emphasized that the administration will not allow the country to serve as a home for individuals who support anti-American terrorist regimes. (Gulf News)
