NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has stated that it is adopting all necessary precautionary measures to prevent paper leaks in the NEET examination. The agency maintained that shifting to a completely computer-based test from next year will resolve the current loopholes and issues. The NTA chief further explained to a parliamentary committee that the methodology for preparing question papers will also undergo significant changes. Top officials, including the NTA head, attended the parliamentary committee meeting held yesterday.
The crucial meeting also witnessed detailed discussions regarding the conduct of re-examinations for affected candidates. The NTA chief assured the committee that strict preventive protocols have already been put in place to ensure that question paper leaks do not recur in any future examinations. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced that the ongoing investigation into the paper leak scandal will be completed at the earliest. The specialized portal for the process was developed under the direct supervision of experts from the IIT. Authorities also added that candidates can formally apply for re-evaluation starting this Monday.
