The victim, identified as Sandeep, a resident of Chittar, was discovered in a critically weak condition inside a pit near his residential premises on Sunday night. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately by neighbors, medical professionals could not save his life.
According to family sources, Sandeep had left his home earlier that evening after informing his relatives that he was going to fetch the woman with whom he was in a romantic relationship. However, hours later, he was traced under highly suspicious circumstances inside a roadside ditch with severe injuries. Registering a grave complaint, Sandeep’s father, Sadanandan, alleged that his son was brutally assaulted by the woman’s relatives, which ultimately resulted in his death. Law enforcement officials are moving forward with their investigation based on these statements and circumstantial evidence.
Simultaneously, local reports indicate that the woman, who is already married, allegedly attempted suicide shortly after learning about Sandeep’s tragic demise. The police stated that absolute clarity regarding whether the incident is a cold-blooded murder can only be established once the detailed post-mortem examination and scientific forensic test results are officially delivered to the investigating team.
