ADOOR: Congress leader Sreenadevi Kunjamma has been formally named as an accused in connection with the alleged trespass and high-handedness incident at the Adoor Police Station. Investigating officers have invoked criminal trespass charges against her. Youth Congress workers Fenni Ninan, Nesmal, and Abin Shivadas have also been arraigned as co-accused in the case.
With Sreenadevi Kunjamma officially named in the case, ambiguity remains over whether the police will proceed with her immediate arrest. Meanwhile, a local magistrate court granted bail today to the Youth Congress Adoor Constituency President, who had been arrested earlier on charges of assaulting police personnel.
Following the unauthorized entry and commotion caused by public representatives inside the Adoor Police Station, State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar sought a detailed operational report from the Pathanamthitta District Police Chief. The DGP directed that while visits by elected officials to police stations are customary, any conduct exceeding permissible legal boundaries must be strictly examined.
