Iran has dramatically expanded its retaliation against the United States, launching a fresh missile strike targeting Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia—one of Washington’s most important military hubs in the Gulf.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the base, which hosts U.S. aerial refueling tankers, Patriot missile batteries, and THAAD air defense systems, came under an Iranian missile barrage.
The reported strike prompted Saudi Arabia to activate early warning systems in Al Kharj and Yanbu, with warning sirens sounding after Iranian missile launches were detected.
The attack comes as the U.S. continues its military campaign against Iran for a seventh consecutive night following the collapse of the peace agreement.
