ALAPPUZHA: Police have concluded that there is no suspicion or foul play involved in the tragic death of a 1.5-year-old child who was hit by a train in Ambalappuzha. Investigators have recorded the statement of the train’s loco pilot, who stated that he saw the child suddenly run onto the railway tracks from below. According to the police, the loco pilot attempted to slow down the train upon noticing the toddler on the tracks. Based on this testimony, the Ambalappuzha police concluded that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. While locals had initially expressed doubts over how the toddler ended up on the track, the loco pilot’s statement has cleared the mystery.
