VAGAMON: Breaking the recent industry trend of shooting breaks during the festive season, the cast and crew of Jayasurya’s upcoming film Maayan organized a grand Onam celebration at Vagamon. The event, held on August 28 at a convention center in Vagamon where filming is currently underway, brought together around 150 team members alongside Idukki MP Dean Kuryakose as a special guest.
Produced by Rajeev Govindan under the banner of Magic Moon and directed by Jithin K. Jose (known for Kalankaval), the film features an ensemble cast. Speaking at the event, MP Dean Kuryakose expressed his delight in celebrating Onam with a film crew for the first time and assured full administrative support for the project’s shooting in the region. Jayasurya highlighted that such collective gatherings help revive lost cultural traditions, while producer-actor Vijay Babu noted that events like these emphasize humanity and togetherness.
Actress Nyla Usha shared her joy at being able to celebrate Onam locally after several years. Actors Arsha Baiju, Jibin Gopinath, and Vaishnavi also attended the ceremony. Director Jithin K. Jose welcomed the gathering and producer Rajeev Govindan proposed the vote of thanks, making it a memorable celebration for the entire team.
