Idukki: In a shocking incident at Ozhuwathadam near Adimali, one-year-old twin brothers passed away under suspicious circumstances. The deceased children have been identified as Ihan and Rihan, sons of the couple Afsal Valiyakaattil and Sandra. Preliminary investigation suggests that the cause of death was the consumption of a toxic chemical substance.
It was the father, Afsal, who brought both children to separate medical facilities—one to the Adimali Taluk Hospital and the other to a private hospital in Adimali—where they were declared dead. Police suspect that family disputes between the couple might have led to the tragedy. Both parents are currently being questioned by the police as part of the ongoing investigation.
