Messi Fraud Case: Reporter TV Staff Uncooperative During Search, Says Thrikkakara ACP.

Kochi: Thrikkakara ACP Bijoy Chandran stated that the management and staff of Reporter TV channel were failing to cooperate with the police search regarding the Messi-related financial fraud case. Clarifying the police presence at the news organization, the ACP noted that the action was part of formal procedures in a case registered after thorough preliminary investigations.

The ACP explained that police attempted to issue a notice to open and inspect the administrative office, but the channel officials refused to accept it. Despite waiting for designated responsible personnel to arrive, no representative turned up, prompting officers to enter the news desk area to identify and speak with available staff. Assuring that the police had no intention of disrupting journalistic work, he mentioned that the building was unfamiliar to the officers. He added that the administrative offices were digitally locked, and the instruction given to employees prohibiting outside communication except in the presence of police was misunderstood by the channel staff.
