32-Year-Old Indian Expat Doctor Dies After Collapsing at Sharjah Home.

Sharjah: A 32-year-old Indian expat, a qualified dentist and mother of two young children, passed away after collapsing at her residence in Sharjah’s Al Qasimia area on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified by her family as Dr. Afeena Raheem, who was on a career break from dentistry to care for her young children.

At the time of the incident, her husband, Yasar T., a teacher by profession, was away at work. His sister Ramsheena, who resides with them, was asleep in the house after sending her child to school, according to her husband Hakeem. Hakeem, who flew into the UAE from Saudi Arabia upon receiving the news, stated that Ramsheena woke up at around 9 am after hearing the cries of Afeena’s younger child.

Ramsheena subsequently discovered Afeena lying collapsed in the kitchen. She immediately attempted resuscitation by performing CPR and summoned an ambulance. Although Afeena was rushed to a nearby private hospital, doctors could not save her life. The family noted that the exact cause of death remains unknown and they are awaiting further medical reports.

According to her husband, Afeena had no prior medical conditions and was in good health. The family is currently completing the necessary documentation and clearance procedures to repatriate her mortal remains to her hometown in Kerala. Authorities have been contacted for official clarification regarding the cause of death.
