THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a major breakthrough in the ongoing Public Service Commission (PSC) examination scam probe, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) made its first arrest on Wednesday, taking former PSC officer P. Satheesh into custody.
Satheesh was arrested from Kozhikode in connection with the fraudulent recruitment examination conducted for the State Planning Board. He was formally arraigned as an accused in the case earlier this week.
A former Deputy Secretary who retired from service last year, Satheesh held charge of the examination wing and oversaw the on-screen digital marking system during the evaluation of the contested examination.
