ANAMA: Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, Maj. Gen. Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib, emphasized on Wednesday the imperative for stronger security coordination and strategic cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to combat evolving regional security challenges. He also advocated for the continuous upgrading of technical and human capabilities alongside cross-border expertise sharing to boost operational readiness across Gulf security apparatuses, the Ministry of Interior announced.
Speaking as the head of the Kuwaiti delegation at the preparatory meeting of GCC Interior Ministry Undersecretaries in Manama—ahead of the 43rd GCC Interior Ministers’ Meeting—Al-Wuhaib reaffirmed Kuwait’s unwavering support and total solidarity with Saudi Arabia following recent Houthi strikes targeting civilian infrastructure. Condemning the assaults, he noted that such actions directly jeopardize the stability and security of both the Kingdom and the wider Gulf region. Furthermore, Al-Wuhaib urged the expansion of joint digital transformation initiatives, acceleration of real-time intelligence sharing, and the seamless electronic integration of security services across GCC interior ministries.
