KOCHI: The title poster for the upcoming Malayalam film ‘Mel Cow Pondicherry,’ directed by debutant Akhil Mohan, has been officially released. The title was unveiled on Easter Sunday, April 5, via the official social media handles of popular actors Dileep and Salim Kumar. The quirky and curiosity-piquing poster has already garnered significant traction across social media platforms.
The film is produced by Arun Gopy and Justin Mathew under the banners of Arun Gopy Excitement and Justin & Mathew Entertainment. Sunanda Philip Justin and Soumya John Arun serve as the executive producers. Director Akhil Mohan previously worked as an associate to Dijo Jose Antony and was a co-writer for ‘Prince and Family.’
Arjun Ashokan, Althaf Salim, Balu Varghese, and Sharath Sabha lead the cast in this full-fledged comedy entertainer. The plot revolves around a group of friends who studied together at a college in Pondicherry. The story kicks off when they return to their old campus after a long hiatus, leading to a series of humorous situations.
Sreelakshmi Vijayan plays the female lead. The movie also features Motta Rajendran, social media fame Annamma, and the film’s scriptwriter Sanoop Thaikkudam in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Electronic Kili, while Saneesh Stanly handles the cinematography. With editing by Sagar Dass, the film has completed its shooting schedules in Dubai and Pondicherry and is currently in the post-production phase.
