‘Woman Who Offered Money is Not With Me, This is a Scripted Attack’; Shobha Surendran Slams Congress.

PALAKKAD: NDA candidate Shobha Surendran has categorically denied allegations that a BJP worker offered money to a voter in Palakkad. She termed the accusations a “scripted attempt” to target her politically and clarified that her visit to Kannadi Panchayat was solely to meet a cancer patient.

Detailing the incident, Shobha alleged that her vehicle was followed by Congress workers. She claimed that while a person named Vinesh was driving the car, another individual inside made obscene gestures toward her. Shobha stated that she confronted them because she would always stand up against any behavior that insults or hurts a woman’s dignity. She emphasized that her campaign is strictly based on politics and development.

The candidate further clarified that the woman accused of distributing money was not part of her team. Dismissing the charges as “baseless rumors,” Shobha vowed to continue her fight until the truth is revealed. She added that she would not back down from the election fray until she has proved her innocence and exposed the conspiracy against her.
