Indian Embassy in Doha Issues Updated Travel Advisory; Qatar Airways Expands Flights to India.

The Embassy of India in Doha has released an updated advisory for Indian nationals looking to return home from Qatar. On March 16, approximately 1100 passengers traveled to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and other cities on Qatar Airways. These operations will continue on March 17. Starting March 18, Qatar Airways will begin operating flights to a wider range of Indian destinations, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Mumbai.

Given the increased availability of flights, the Embassy has decided to close the registration link for short-term visitors and transit passengers shortly. Travelers are now advised to manage their bookings and check for updates directly through the Qatar Airways website or mobile app, or by contacting a travel agent.

For those wishing to return to India via Saudi Arabia, the Embassy is continuing to facilitate temporary transit visas through a specific registration link: https://forms.gle/oTwqEQYa4z22oX4W7. The Embassy’s 24/7 Control Room, along with support from community organizations like ICC and ICBF, remains active for assistance. Emergency matters can be emailed to cons.doha@mea.gov.in.
