UDF Candidate A. Suresh Sparks Controversy Over Remarks on TP Chandrasekharan.

PALAKKAD: A. Suresh, the UDF candidate for Malampuzha, has sparked a political row with his recent comments during an interview with Asianet News. Suresh stated that if those who leave the CPM face a fate similar to that of the late TP Chandrasekharan, they would be welcomed with happiness. He expressed confidence that voters who admire VS Achuthanandan would support his candidacy in the upcoming election.

Responding to allegations of a “Congress-BJP deal” in Malampuzha raised by the CPM, Suresh dismissed the claims as laughable. Suresh served as a long-time personal assistant to VS Achuthanandan before being expelled from the CPM approximately 11 years ago. He noted that after being cast out by the party, he felt no further obligation to remain sympathetic toward them, which led to his decision to accept the UDF ticket. He had initially planned to contest as an independent candidate. (Kerala News)
