MUSCAT: A 56-year-old non-resident Keralite, who had gone missing four days ago in Oman’s Samail, was tragically discovered dead. The deceased has been identified as Ramabhadran, hailing from Kunjanpillai Mandiram, Nedungolam, Meenadu in Chathannoor, Kollam. For more than 15 years, he had been earning his livelihood as a dedicated automobile mechanic in the Lizq region of Samail.
Ramabhadran had gone missing from his accommodation last Friday, following which his friends and local authorities launched an extensive search operation. His body was eventually discovered inside a wadi (valley) located along the road leading toward the Samail Central Jail. Preliminary medical examinations suggest that the body was around three days old, leading investigators to believe that his death most likely occurred on Friday itself.
Currently, his body has been kept in the local hospital mortuary. Local community leaders and officials are actively coordinating to complete the necessary legal documentation to repatriate his mortal remains back home to Kerala at the earliest. Ramabhadran was the son of the late Padmanabha Pillai and Chellamma. He is survived by his wife, Bindu; children, Anjana and Akhil; and siblings, Ramadas, Baby Girija, Sudhevan, Sahadevan, Sreedevi, and Girijakumari.
