ALAPPUZHA: The Nooranad police have successfully apprehended the notorious criminal and thief, Sreekumar, popularly known as ‘Chillu’ Sreekumar. The accused is a history-sheeter wanted in as many as 41 criminal cases spanning various categories, including murder, physical assault, prison violence, and theft. The police team managed to capture him following a high-risk, adventurous operation.
According to law enforcement officials, Sreekumar has an extensive criminal footprint with active cases registered against him in every single district across Kerala. Notably, he is also a key accused in a case involving the physical assault of jail wardens while he was undergoing a regular remand period in prison. Legal procedures are underway to produce the accused before the local court for further remand.
