KARUNAGAPPALLY: In a tragic incident spotlighting the ongoing menace of speeding private transport, a 54-year-old man was killed and his daughter left fighting for her life after their motorcycle was struck by a speeding private bus. The deceased has been identified as Sashi, a resident of Vilayil Padeettathil in Thodiyoor.
Sashi’s daughter, Sharanya (27), who was riding pillion, sustained severe injuries in the collision and was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where her condition remains critical. Witnesses stated that the reckless speed of the private bus caused the collision at Mararithottam. The local police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
