The landmark inaugural service departed from the eastern emirate of Fujairah at approximately 5:34 AM and successfully completed its cross-country journey in just under one hour and 45 minutes. Speaking to Gulf News, Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial at Etihad Rail Mobility, emphasized that the customer experience is designed to be comprehensive rather than limited to the tracks. She noted that meticulous planning has gone into how commuters will access the stations, incorporating dedicated shuttle buses, existing public municipal bus networks, local taxis, and app-based e-hailing transportation systems. Almansoori added that every active station is fully integrated into its respective emirate’s public infrastructure, revealing that the highly anticipated Dubai station, scheduled to officially open its doors this September, will be positioned adjacently to a Dubai Metro station to facilitate a direct, convenient interchange for daily commuters.
