KOLLAM: A youth was arrested by the Excise department in Kollam while in possession of a massive stash of lethal narcotic pills. The arrested individual has been identified as Tintu Xavier (36), residing at Attukal Puthuval House, Thekkumbhagom, Eravipuram.
During an inspection conducted as part of ‘Operation Thunder’, officers recovered 6,200 Tydol tablets and 20 Nitrazepam tablets from his possession.
The accused was intercepted with the contraband around 2:20 PM on a byroad near the Valathungal Gurumandiram Junction.
The raid was carried out under the leadership of Kollam Excise Range Inspector P. Sankar. The inspection team comprised Civil Excise Officer Salim S., Woman Civil Excise Officer Sruthi Chandran, Preventive Officers Shafeeq B. and Dileepkumar P., Assistant Excise Inspectors Mineshyus and Binulal S., along with Civil Excise Officer Driver Santhoshkumar G.
