THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A charred body of an unidentified person was found inside a burnt car at Venganoor in Vizhinjam. The incident occurred near the Ayyankali School in Venganoor. Police suspect foul play behind the incident. The vehicle involved bears a Kottayam registration, and authorities stated that a detailed probe is underway to determine how the car reached Vizhinjam.
The vehicle caught fire around 5:00 AM on Monday. The parked car was completely destroyed in the blaze. Fireforce personnel who rushed to the spot discovered the charred body inside after dousing the flames. The body was burnt beyond recognition, making it difficult to immediately identify the gender of the deceased. A forensic team has reached the scene to collect evidence.
Police officials stated that further investigation is required to clarify whether the incident was a case of suicide or if any foul play was involved.
