MALAPPURAM: Thrikkaripur MLA Sandeep G. Warrier and fellow passengers miraculously escaped uninjured when their car lost control following a tyre burst on National Highway 66 at Koichana near Malappuram around 2:00 AM on Saturday.
The incident occurred while the legislator was returning to his hometown of Chethallur from his constituency. The vehicle went out of control after one of its tyres unexpectedly burst while moving at highway speed.
In the immediate aftermath of the sudden deceleration, two other vehicles trailing behind the MLA’s car collided with each other. The family members traveling in those vehicles also escaped without any injuries.
Local police personnel promptly arrived at the scene upon being alerted to secure the crash site, assist those involved, and clear the stretch to restore smooth traffic movement.
