Eatery Vandalized Over Delayed Dosa in Sooranad; Siblings Assaulted in Kottarakkara.

KOLLAM: A wayside eatery (thattukada) was vandalized and the couple running it were assaulted over a delay in serving dosas at Koikkal market in Sooranad, Kollam. The attackers smashed glass displays and damaged kitchen equipment. Police arrested two individuals—Aji (46) and Rameshan (44), both residents of Iravichira, Sooranad South—in connection with the incident.

According to officials, a three-member gang under the influence of alcohol created a ruckus at the shop. The suspects also engaged in a heated argument with the police personnel who arrived at the scene.

In a separate incident at Kottarakkara, siblings and their friend were brutally assaulted by a gang while returning home after work late at night. The victims have been identified as Sreenath, Ramya, and their friend, all natives of Oyoor. Local residents detained three members of the intoxicated gang and handed them over to the police.
