KOCHI: The first look of the highly anticipated film ‘Ottakomban,’ featuring Suresh Gopi as the legendary character Kaduvaakkunnel Kuruvachan, was unveiled on the occasion of Easter. Kuruvachan, a figure known for his influence and wealth in Mid-Travancore, especially in Meenachil taluk, is considered a role model by the younger generation. The poster features Suresh Gopi in an intense pose, gripping a cross-pendant chain in his mouth, signaling a high-octane action drama.

The film carries the powerful tagline, “Though I fall, I will rise again,” a verse from the Holy Bible. The narrative focuses on themes of resilience and redemption, portraying the struggles and the eventual rise of the protagonist. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, ‘Ottakomban’ is directed by debutant Mathews Thomas. The project is mounted on a massive budget with a sprawling narrative canvas.
The movie features Anagha as the female lead and boasts an ensemble cast including Indrajith Sukumaran, Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Lal, Kabir Duhan Singh, Chemban Vinod, and Johny Antony. With over 70 actors on board, the film is scripted by Shibin Francis. The technical team includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar and music composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Filming is expected to wrap up soon after schedules in locations like Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Pala, and Hong Kong.
