DOHA: Prospective pilgrims planning to perform Haj in 1448 AH (2026-2027) can now walk into any Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) health centre to obtain their medical fitness certificate without prior appointments on any day of the week.
The health certificate is provided free of charge to Qatari citizens and residents across all PHCC health centres. A nominal fee will only apply to residents whose residency permits or health cards have expired. The certificates are made available in both paper and electronic formats.
PHCC stated that the service aligns with the conditions and regulations set by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, in compliance with Qatar’s approved health protocols and procedures.
The corporation highlighted that the primary objective is to enable intending pilgrims to complete their medical requirements and verify their health status prior to travel, ensuring they perform the holy rituals safely.
Applications are being accepted at all PHCC family medicine centres without the need for prior booking.
This initiative is part of PHCC’s broader effort to expand access to comprehensive healthcare services and support health preparations for the upcoming Haj season. The corporation has urged prospective pilgrims to avoid delaying their required medical procedures until the last minute.
