Directed, written, and produced by Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi under the banner of Swambhu Media Network, Hanuman Ansh is an inspiring devotional drama that brings to screen the early life and spiritual awakening of Neem Karoli Baba. Set in early 20th-century India, the narrative follows thirteen-year-old Lakshman Das, who departs his hometown of Braj following his mother’s tragic demise. Driven by a deep desire to reunite with divine love through Lord Rama and Hanuman, Lakshman chooses a quiet path of devotion over conventional asceticism. He spends years meditating under trees, residing beside rivers, and learning spiritual lessons directly from nature.
A key highlight of the film is the famous historic event where a 25-year-old Lakshman is asked to leave a first-class train compartment by a colonial official for traveling without a ticket. Mysteriously, the train comes to a complete halt and refuses to move despite engine checks. Realizing their mistake, the officials apologize and invite him back on board. Lakshman accepts, while putting forward two selfless conditions: that sadhus should never be forcibly evicted from trains, and that a railway station be built at the site for local villagers—marking the birth of the historic Neem Karori station.
