Thiruvananthapuram: In view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions and the possibility of heavy rain in connection with Karkidaka Vavu, the district administration has issued safety guidelines.

District Collector Anu Kumari informed that performing Bali Tharpanam by entering rivers, streams, and the sea has been strictly prohibited due to the likelihood of strong currents and high waves.

The District Collector’s directive states that considering the strong currents and winds in water bodies, no one should step into the water, and devotees must strictly use wooden platforms specially set up on the banks or other safe designated facilities for performing the rituals.
