MUMBAI: A native of Kerala has been arrested in the Mumbra area of Thane, Maharashtra, for allegedly opening fire at three individuals who were attempting to sexually harass a woman. One of the victims, identified as Akbar Abdul Sheikh, succumbed to his injuries during the incident which occurred at approximately 11:30 AM yesterday.
Reports indicate that the firing took place when the man intervened to protect the woman from the three-member gang. CCTV footage showing the group harassing the woman has since surfaced. The local police have taken the accused into custody and are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter. (IN)
