KOLLAM: A Class 10 student was found dead after allegedly committing suicide at her residence in Odanavattom, Kollam. The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Malavika, daughter of Raji Bhavanam, residing at Parangimamvila, Kattayil. She was a Tenth Standard student at Trikkannamangal SKV Vocational Higher Secondary School.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening after Malavika returned home from school around 5:30 PM and went to her bedroom on the second floor to freshen up. Sensing something amiss when she did not return for a long time, her younger brother looked through the bedroom window and found her hanging. Family members broke open the door and rushed her to a private hospital in Kottarakkara, but doctors declared her brought dead.
