New Delhi: Asserting that the time has come to remove the Union Government from power, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi represents India’s past, while the protesting youth embody the country’s future. He emphasized that the “past can never fight the future”.
Reacting to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following nationwide student demonstrations over examination irregularities, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge termed the resignation a “victory of truth and defeat of Modi’s stubbornness”.
Rahul Gandhi added that the student agitation serves as a stern warning that if the BJP and RSS continue to run the government like their personal fiefdom, they will face a protest ten times more intense than the current one. Accusing the RSS of hollowing out India from the inside like termites, he stated that the youth are stepping up to protect their rights and shape the country’s destiny.
