Haripad: The post-mortem report of Savariya Basanth, the medical student who was killed in Uzbekistan, has revealed that she was subjected to severe physical assault. Findings from the autopsy indicate that Savariya was subjected to prolonged beating over days. The autopsy conducted at the Alappuzha Government Medical College Hospital confirmed that a fatal head injury caused by a blunt object was the primary cause of death.
According to the post-mortem report, her entire body bore extensive bruises and marks from being beaten and kicked. The autopsy indicates that most of these blunt injuries were sustained a day before her murder. The examiners noted that there were no marks or wounds on her body inflicted by sharp-edged weapons.
