Kollam: During an SFI protest march in Kollam, an SFI activist tore down the flex board of late CPI(M) state secretary and former minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on the occasion of his fourth death anniversary.
The incident occurred while the SFI march was underway, when a protester ran out from the marching crowd and ripped apart the flex board installed on a median. The flex had been put up as part of observances for Kodiyeri’s fourth remembrance day. Amid the incident, someone in the crowd can be heard in the video asking, “Did you tear Kodiyeri’s flex? Was it a mistake?”
The SFI had organized the protest march to condemn the attacks against its activists in Thiruvananthapuram. The video also captures protesters raising slogans against the police during the demonstration.
