THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 172nd Jayanti celebrations of Sree Narayana Guru are being held today. Grand events have been organized at Varkala Sivagiri and Chempazhanthy Sree Narayana Gurukulam.
The Thiru Jayanti conference at Sivagiri will be inaugurated by Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. Various programs, including book releases and a grand procession, have been arranged as part of the Chathayam day celebrations. The public meeting at Chempazhanthy at 4:00 PM will be inaugurated by Chief Minister VD Satheesan.
Under the auspices of the SNDP Yogam, Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, and Gurudharma Pracharana Sabha, special Guru Poojas, processions, cultural meets, mass feedings, and spiritual discourses will take place across various Guru Mandirams starting from the morning.
At Aluva Advaita Ashram, special poojas, recitation of Gurudeva works, special deeparadhana, and mass prayers will be held from 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM. In Aluva, North Paravur, Vypin, and Muvattupuzha unions of the SNDP Yogam, branches and feeder organizations will jointly organize processions and public meetings at their respective centers.
