Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, the Punjab Police, in a joint operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, successfully foiled a massive terror plot in the state.
Two terrorists along with one associate were apprehended from Malerkotla. While the suspects were initially taken into custody in connection with a drug trafficking case, a deeper investigation revealed their involvement in an existing terror-related case in Jammu and Kashmir.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were staying in Punjab as part of a plan to execute a significant terrorist attack. (IN)
