Convoy Blocked in Thiruvananthapuram: DCC Member Chenthi Anil Arrested.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DCC member Chenthi Anil has been arrested for blocking the vehicle of Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan after he skipped a Chathayam day event organized by the Congress district leader at Chenthi in Thiruvananthapuram. The Chief Minister’s vehicle was stopped at Chenthi while he was en route to attend the Chathayam day function at Chempazhanthy Sree Narayana Gurukulam.

Although the Chief Minister had initially agreed to inaugurate the Chathayam day function at Chenthi, he later withdrew. The Chief Minister withdrew from the event following a Special Branch report indicating the presence of individuals with criminal backgrounds on the inauguration stage. However, the official explanation from the Chief Minister was that the event was skipped due to a tight schedule to catch a train to Kochi at 7:30 PM. Following the blockage of his vehicle, the Chief Minister stepped out, spoke with the organizers, and then continued his journey.

After skipping the Chenthi event, the Chief Minister attended the Jayanti convention at Chempazhanthy. On his way there, a group led by Congress district leader Chenthi Anil flagged down and stopped his vehicle. The Sreekaryam Police registered a case regarding the incident. The FIR names DCC member Chenthi Anil as the prime accused. Charges pressed against them include obstructing the official duties of the Chief Minister, wrongful restraint, misbehavior, and disrupting traffic.
