Government Ayurvedic Hospitals Will Be Upgraded: Minister K. Muraleedharan.

State Health, Ayush, and Devaswom Minister K. Muraleedharan stated that government Ayurvedic hospitals in the state will be upgraded to high standards and steps will be taken to address the shortage of therapists. He was speaking after inaugurating the district-level celebrations of the 11th Ayurveda Day at Swaraj Bhavan, Nanthancode.

Kerala is a state that gives immense importance to Ayurveda within India. The government’s policy is to strengthen government Ayurvedic hospitals just like allopathic institutions. The minister added that limitations regarding inpatient treatment facilities in the government sector, which are currently fewer compared to the private sector, will be resolved.

In connection with World Heart Day, the minister also announced that the ‘Trop-T’ test for heart attack detection has been made completely free for all people below the poverty line.

At the event, Local Self-Government Minister K. M. Shaji inaugurated the mega screening medical camps. He noted that just as foreign countries utilize the market potential of their traditional treatment methods, Kerala’s Ayurveda sector should also grow towards commercial and market possibilities.
