A five-storey building that was under construction collapsed at Pambanar in Idukki district. A major tragedy was averted as there were no workers inside the building at the time of the incident, resulting in zero casualties.
Preliminary assessments suggest that serious flaws in the construction work led to the sudden collapse of the structure, which was located right next to a public road.
Although there were several residential houses and other buildings situated in the immediate vicinity, none of them sustained any damages or impact from the collapse.
