KOZHIKODE/DUBAI: A 32-year-old Malayali youth from Kozhikode was stabbed to death in Dubai. The deceased has been identified as Jaseel, a resident of Najath Mansil in Madhurabazar, Cheruvannur. The tragic incident occurred while Jaseel was attempting to mediate a heated argument between his friends at their shared accommodation.
According to reports, Jaseel intervened to settle a verbal spat that broke out between his roommates and friends in the room where he resided. During the altercation, one of the friends allegedly stabbed Jaseel. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Jaseel had been working as an expatriate in Dubai for the past three years.
The mortal remains are currently kept at the Al Rashidiya Hospital in Dubai. Efforts are underway to repatriate the body to his hometown following the completion of legal formalities. The Dubai Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
